Do you think there will be gay couples taking the nuptials lightly?

Like in Las Vegas where many couples get married on a whim. Do you think there will be some gay people that just like the idea of marriage and do it. Not because of love, but because they can now?

What kind of impact do you think that may have when we have fought so hard to get the right to marry?Do you think there will be gay couples taking the nuptials lightly?
As much as we would like to believe we will have a better track record, I am sure when everything comes out in the wash there will be the equivalent number of divorces with homosexual couples as there is with heterosexual couples. I hope I am wrong.Do you think there will be gay couples taking the nuptials lightly?
Not sure that they will take it any more ';lightly'; than others (and let's not forget how often straights take it lightly...Brittney, Pam Anderson, etc. to name a few high profile ones). However, my concern is that in CA many will rush into it because there is a potentially short time frame. In mid-June they can marry, but in November there will be an election that could end future same sex marriages. Thus you may find couples that would normally not be interested in marrying until later, but do it now because they don't want to miss the window of opportunity. As noted above by another poster...these relationships may end sooner because they were rushed, and the opponents of same sex marriages will use that skewed data to show that a ';higher'; percentage of same sex marriages fail when it was really more about the timeframe of opportunity than the strength of the relationships.
Certainly, there will be some peope who take it lightly, go into too quickly, etc. etc. , just as with straight couples. And, yes, I think initially gay couples will be judges more harshly for it. ';See? I told you it was wrong to legalize gay marriages,'; some of the opposed will claim.

But you can't deny people their rights because of what ';might happen.'; Here's hoping for the best!
Well, like you said, it happens in Vegas all the time. In other words...straight people do it! I don't think there'll be enough people doing this to cause a problem, considering it's only legal in 2 states (so far!). And the only problems we would see for this, as far as I'm concerned, are (a) high divorce or separation rates, which could lead to (b) bad press.
now a days theres nothing wrong with it,,,and if thats happen wow, maybe all of the asian gays here will fly to vegas,,anyway for me it also a big impact change on the culture ,,but lets face the fact,,

that will be happen

=)
Maybe a LOOOONG time from now but after such along hard battle I think initially we will take our vows more serious....
maybe later on when it's legal nation wide, and a common thing.
I'm sure that there will be. But people shouldn't hold the LGBT community to higher standards that the rest of society
