Not if one career goes skyward at the expense of the other. Usually the woman ends up looking after the kids. These people I just wrote about, the man has a great Uni job and the woman stopped work when she had kids. They met outside their professors door in Cambridge. Sad story, huh? in a way, yes. at least they both understand the demands of their occupation. but i don't think it's ideal for 2 lawyers to hook up.
It is a real benefit to have the same work in common with each other. It creates a better understanding of what each has to do all day. As long as they are not in competition with each other in their field. It can be a healthy support system.

i wouldn't mind if my wife had the same occupation as I,but i wouldn't want to work with her at the same place on the same shift.even if it is just work,i gotta have some kind of a break.that 24/7 would have us at each others throat.lol

Depends. It can be a pro because the couple will have a lot more in common. It can also be a con, especially if the occupation is competitive and one spouse outshines the other.
The circumstances don't matter. Religion, money, cheating, occupation, nothing matters!!! Marriage will destroy your relationship!!!
