My older brother took me to a dance when I was younger. I was supposed to go with a guy, but he ended up having to go to a funeral that day and wasn't able to go. So, that night when I finished getting ready, he was sitting in the living room dressed up with a corsage for me. It wasn't gross at all, it was actually really cute. Everyone thought it was adorable. Don't worry about it.
if you and your brother are close and its not a date then no it would not be weird!
